Message Too Old, No Replies

Is there less or more feedback than 2 years ago?

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed a decrease of feedback/responses to posts in the last year compared to 2 years ago.

Essentially most of my last 10 "request" posts over the last several months have gotten none to minimal replies.

I'm not complaining, as I have learned a lot here. I've helped out others my share too. But when I first started using WebmasterWorld, I could count on valuable replies relatively quickly. But my experience in the last 3 months has led me to search for other similar forums.

I guess a traffic INCREASE could lead to posts staying "on top" for less time, wich would lead to fewer replies as well. I frequently don't read more than 4 or 5 pages of a forum.

So basically, I'm saying I'm sad that I feel I have to go somewhere else, because initially WebmasterWorld was so useful, and I feel a weird loyalty thing. If WebmasterWorld were to implement a "viewed" number, that would tell us how many times a post has been viewed I might feel that there more potential than it seems, but for now (even writing this) I feel I might very well be wasting my time and energy sending messages off to no where. That means I need a change

It was good for a while there...

Comments?
(not the "you loser" kind, or "you should write better subjet lines" kind, please)

Hi,

I am only a newbie round here, so discount my opinion appropriately.

I suspect one recent problem is the irritating rise in (1) conspiracy theorists and company bashers (2) the "i've been banned but I only broke 493 rulez: get me back in" (3) "tell me houw to make $1,000,000 becoz im to lazy even to sp3l rite" and (4) trolling.

Just my 1.5c (at current exchange rates)...

Rgds

Like I said, I'm not complaining, nor am I blaming anyone for doing a bad job. I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed decreased feedback. And I think I did it respecfully.

DamonHD: thanks for your feedback, I do appreciate it.

When there was only a few dozen of us there was more repros, worthwhile or not.

Now, in my in my opinion, the forum is about establishing relationships.

Find someone you are in tune with and you will be amazed where it can take you.
Get a group together and it goes beyond.

Sticky mail is a powerful tool.
