I just wanted to post this because I have recently joined a paid forum for my industry that is supposed to be a top community in my business. But after spending a few weeks trying to get around I realized that 90% of the posts are not helpful advice to the questions or problems posted, but are complaints or post trying to 1-up the problem that the person is having.

I love WebmasterWorld because if I have a problem or a question I can come here and get helpful suggestions every time. Everyone is honest and I have always found useful advice all over this board.

This is the greatest site on the web, and I just felt like thanking everyone here!

on that topic (and probably no other) it's easy to speak on behalf of everyone here... we agree. :)

WebmasterWorld has a culture which is missing from other boards. It is where the top-notch professionals go to keep in touch, and there is a "pay it forward" mentality. A few years ago, I learned PHP with help from several members here (you know who you are).

Thanks TMI. Now that you have the official bug - the game is to help out the next person where you can with the unanswered messages [webmasterworld.com].

nice link, BT
I often go skimming for 1-post topics, I'd never sorted them like that.
When I'm feeling mentorly, I usually go here [webmasterworld.com].
