"Sheraton Boston Hotel still has availability from the 18th - 21st ... starting at $279.00 per-night... they are sold-out on the 17th.'

GEEEEZZZZ! You can get The Peninsula (often rated as best hotel in the world) for that .. sometimes less.

Good 4 star for $50-75.

And the entertainment .. ;)

Hi,

Yep, and non-US venue would be welcome as I refuse to go to the US again until the IND people stop treating me like a criminal (eg fingerprinting, collecting data that I don't trust them to be able to use or even retain securely); they'd give me an H-1 if I asked nicely and I've been a frequent visitor in the past!

And, I've never been to Bangkok!

Bangkok would be an excellent venue. Pretty central for Asia, inexpensive accoms and makes a great visit.

You will seldom, if ever, hear of muggings either .. even on the street at 02:00.

Think of the diversity of attendees, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea, Indo, PI .. all close.

Remember, there is a google.co.th too!

Would be a pretty easy trip for M. Easterners and Euros as well. I believe a trip to BKK from Europe is only slightly longer than Europe to the US.

"And, I've never been to Bangkok!"

You really should rectify that!:)

Hi,

I should indeed. My 4-month-old daughter is going to cramp my style a little for a while though, at least re holidays!

Can you imagine the internation flavor of a conference like that? Maybe a once in a lifetime opportunity.
