Hello, all. I say I am not quite a newbie because I've done basic website work for quite a while. But a quick look down the forum index tells me that I am still pretty new!

As I've maintained my sites for my employers, for myself, for local membership groups, and even for small business, I think I've developed a sense of what style works best for me. I'll pass over the latest technical innovation in favor of content that meets users needs. That comes from my marketing background. But I still love to learn new tricks! That comes from my nerdish background!

Over the past few months, I've learned a ton about SEO, so that only leaves 200 tons to go! (and growing all the time, I'm sure.)

As I've read the RSS feed from this site, I found myself clicking through to more and more stories and threads, so I decided it was time to register and to post.

So thanks for the chance to introduce myself, and to read your collected wisdom!

Welcome. Time to balance the reading phase with the contributing phase. :)

OK, I finally made a tiny contribution on writing styles. Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome, Becky, and don't be shy. This is a remarkably polite board most of the time. :-) I'm sure there are things you have to teach some of us, so feel free to jump in.
