A little quieter lately, eh?

Things have been rather subdued since WW disappeared from G (at least it seems that way to me). The constant rush of new members through the door has lessened quite a bit. It's helped to keep things more orderly, with less threads started, and posts made, that accomplished nothing other than to contribute to a general background of noise, but I wonder how many aspiring webmasters who could have been helped here (such as myself three years ago) can't find the place anymore?

> less threads

How do you see that? Numbers are rather static from before-after and thread quality is up significantly. Right now there are over 300 on the active list and posting is actually up in some forums.

Must just have been me checking in more often because my car was off the road, rather than seeing an accumulation of posts when I checked less often. Glad to hear it's still hopping.

Brett,
In my opinion quality is up.
I am spending more time in the forum.
I heard the moderators time is down, which is also a good thing.
Thanks, Bill

It seems like it's a bit quieter to me also but it's more the noise factor that is more quiet. I think the post quality to noise ratio is better since the search drop.

Do you keep stats on how many posts you have to remove over a period of time? I wonder if that number is significantly down or no?
