Can't say I noticed this before

Occasionally, because I have my main site listed in my profile, I see hits coming in from it (curiousity, "what's he on about?", whatever). However, I can't recall having seen the member's name who clicked in from the profile listed in the referrer until very recently (it jumped right out, so I would have thought I'd have spotted it before). It's fine with me, but I can see that some people would be concerned.

So, this is new, right? I haven't just suddenly spotted it for the first time?

If anyone wants to check it out, if you have your site in your profile, click through on it and then dl your log-file.

Added for clarity: The member name that I'm noting is the person who clicked, not the person whose profile it is.

Yes, it is interesting to see just which members are clicking through to my blog :) I know who you are ;)

You would think there would be a privacy issue since anyone who has their profile link clicked not only knows exactly who clicked it, but their IP address as well.

What I found humorous, the first time I saw it, was that the person had hit the index, then the main page, then my very limited outbound-links page, then gone (I looked at the logfile with wordpad). Not interested in the internal links that lead to actual content in the slightest ;-)

ya, we are tracking bots and auto clicks for awhile.

This will auto resolve after a period of time. We are trying to shake a bad case of fleas here...
