No, I'm not being facetious or trying to be funny, I'm dead-on serious. This one:

[pubcon.com...]

I'm not 100% sure I can make it to Vegas because of (health) conditions related to whether I can fly or not, but that session description is literally haunting and taunting me, since I cut my teeth on mini-sites and dearly love them. If for no other reason I'd try to make it for that one, it's so appealing - but...

Is a mini-site still a valid model for the small ecom site, or for a highly targeted, quality, content-rich affiliate site? What type of site owner or developer can benefit from that session? Who needs it?

Oh, I think it's still very valid. One product companies are an ideal example.
In addition, what's classed as mini? 1-page, 100-pages? A good percentage of sites are mini sites, imho.

Good question. I originally started out with sites for folks that were about 5-6 pages, which was plenty for those, they did great, and that is still what I consider the minimum for a site to be considered a "site." Yet, I've got personal sites of my own now that have grown to close to 80-100 pages and I really don't consider those mini-sites any more.

I'd love to scale down and start to do smaller ones, they were concise and precise - I love mini-sites, but have had doubts whether it's still as viable model a for promotion as in the past.

User = fish
Site = net

The bigger the net the more fish you catch :)
