I don't understand the instructions for site search. where should I be posting the code? I don't see a "Edit System Preferences" option after I enter Control Panel.

it should actually say 'System Preferences' and is located in the center portion of the control panel titled 'preferences'.
it should be the second option under 'edit profile'
once you click on that, at the bottom is 'Custom Code Insert' for both top and bottom.

I must be missing something. Am I in the right place? I so not see any Preferences or System Preferences icon in the control panel. I am looking in the XP Home Control panel and can't find it using the standard view or the Classic view.

Your Control Panel is actually a link at the top of your WebmasterWorld page (right next to the logo).
