Please just take this as an observation rather than a complaint...

But I do find the moderation on this forum to be strangely restrictive, and really do not get the need or mentality for some of the restrictions imposed.

I usually come here once every couple of months, and I think it is a great site, I'm simply put off by the gagging orders that are put in place.

I know it's not a democrasy and it's your site you can be as precious as you like... but from a web point of view ... bringing people in, encouraging exchange, building community, encouraging people to return etc etc , is good web sense, and it seems to me that the measures that take place, are counter productive to that ideal..

When you go to a forum, you want as much as possible for it to feel like you are all in a room talking to each other on the level, offering opinions, giving opinions on advice, links to where that information can be found, be able to ask for help with some detail etc etc ..

Yet here you can not even mention the word? even although everyone now knows what "search G" means, yet you can't even use the name? sorry but that seems rediculous to me..

apart from having the feeling of having your hands tied and mouth gagged, you just don't seem to treat people like adults or with any real respect..

Yes I know forums can get out of hand, but you deal with it, I'm a moderator myself, elswhere.. it's not the point.

I simply don't understand why you wouldn't want to turn my once every 2 months visit in to once every 2 days? ( for instance ) when that lack of desire to return is pretty much down to unable to enjoy the experience..

IMHO
