Unfortunately, that has happened numerous times at various forums, mostly either domain forums, server specific forums, or webmaster ones. In fact, I am always looking for new forums where I am more likely to get knowledge and replies vs ones I had poor or limited success with.
I would gladly pay for answers to issues, especially server and webmaster related ones. Does anyone here know of a place where you can pay a fee for problem solving information?
Would not hesitate in paying for replies as I am wasting lots of time and getting little accomplished by posting at free forums and hoping to get replies.
Please do not misunderstand, I am not complaining about this and other forums. It's likely members who read my requests simply do not know the answer, or my post gets 'lost' or over-looked, or those who are knowledgable and do know the issues either do not bother to reply, or else never read the post in the first place.
In addition, I am not just a 'taker' as you may be thinking but instead am a constant 'giver' where I often reply to posts if I have knowledge on the issues. In fact, I have credit for over 5,000 posts during the past 3 yrs at several forums (mostly domain name related). It just seems like I have great trouble getting my own issues addressed (mosty server, webmaster and technical ones).
Sorry to learn that you are having some difficulties getting "specific answers" to some of your posts.
I tend to think that people are generally more inclined to engage in discussions that are somewhat abstract -i.e. matters involving issues/details that are not unique/limited to a particular setup or a website.
Unfortunately, no matter how much one may wish to help out a fellow forum member, it is very difficult (if not impossible) to provide "Specific Answers" without getting into the specifics of a particular case.

Sorry, I know of no such single place where wizards of ALL trades reside. :)

Quite possible. What are the areas you need help with?
If you are looking for help with specific issues, or need a resolution within a given timeframe, you may be better off retaining someone (or two) who may be well versed in those subject matters.
If the issues are generic enough, and if you were to carefully craft your questions, I am sure you will find many of us here who would be more than willing to help you out...
