I think when posts get massive Brett prevents the post count going up else a 'junior member' could become a 'preferred member' in a matter of one thread.
Anyway, who cares how many times you have posted when its the quality of the post that really counts.

I don't want my count to go up. I think 'Preferred Member' sounds far more important than 'Senior Member'.
eg
Preferred Citizen: Someone who is upstanding and would be chosen over someone less capable.
Senior Citizen: OLD
