Does it seem to you that webmasterworld has basically become an adsense forum?

I think that there are way too many posts in AdSense due to the nature of the program.
1 person can't log in and thinks that they are diabled and it sparks off a 60 post thread about what they did wrong, then it turns out they can log in after all.
When you have a program where it is possible that a normal web publisher can profit in the 5 figures a month, there will be discussions.

I think the reason people come here is that WebmasterWorld gets great rankings for some really good topics and people just come and register to ask thier AdSense questions.

Contributions of Google employers AWA and ASA is also a key factor.

Well, when Google leaves you guessing, the majority of the threads will always be speculation and theories. You must admit, it is a bit fun to always pop up with new theories and ideas into how to extract profits from your AdSense ads. That's also the beauty of forums.. everyone is a self proclaimed expert. ;)

AdSense has been the biggest Internet innovation in the recent past and has allowed many Mom & Pop operations to monetise their websites in an easy way.

This is similar to how GoTo and then AdWords allowed us small timers to become competitive.

It's no wonder this forum gets so many posts - as the title alludes to it's addictive.

We are now in a situation that our little B&M business has free Internet advertising (AdSense + = AdWords, Over -)that allows us to compete with the big guys and make us successful.

At my age (60) I was hoping to slow down a little however this new horizon is keeping me stuck in front of the monitor handling e-mails, monitoring our sites and checking stats - great fun :-)

Yes Tropical Island - you could be on the beach of a tropical island but you puff the pipe of adsense and spend your last days glued to the computer screen.

It's like they say - when you come to die will you wish you had spent more time at the office (on the computer screen)?

Not at all. A quick survey of the active list [webmasterworld.com] shows me that less than 10% of the active threads are Adsense related.

Right now, the hot areas look like Google Search News, HTML & Browsers, Adwords, Adsense and Ecommerce. Give it ten minutes and something else will be the focus. Things move pretty fast around here. ;)
