Idea for an enchanced email notification system...

I know Brett said he'd be fixing or redoing the email notification scripting/programming at the end of the year or the beginning of next, so I'd like to make a suggestion. I've noticed some forums work and some don't, but when the ones that work send me mail and I get a lot of replies then it tends to crowd up my inbox.

I think it would be useful if the forum sent one email PER post and then stopped UNTIL you visited the site. When you visit the site the site would mark you as being available to receive further email notifications.

One could go a step further and set the notification options to independent emails or only one notification between visits PER thread. :-)
