At this point it's sketchy but it sounds like a terrorist attack...many injuries...

bombs on buses and tube (subway)

... of course there are less police in london right now due to large numbers being drafted into scotland due to the live8 leaders encouraging protestors to go to scotland to protest up there.

yes loads of sirens and stuff here (right by shoreditch police station - old street area)

the mobile phone network has been disconnected too (i think - my phone doesn't work and it isn't the normal network busy signal)

I am close to Waterloo station, lots of police around as well!

London bridge was packed, as I walked to work - never seen so many people on it! Saw lots of police, fire engines..

BBC are reporting that Mobile phone operators are limiting some network capacity to reserve space for emergency service use, so there may be some network outage for some regular users.

Mobile phones are working again.

The BBC website is struggling due to the number of requests. They're using a light version of the homepage to ease the problem....

I hope the mods dont mind, but this site has a list of World Newspapers and a good list of UK news paper sites:

[world-newspapers.com...]

A few of the sites are easy to load up with no problems in connection. In case people want new sources that is!

[news.bbc.co.uk...]
"There have been a number of dreadful incidents across London today," said Home Secretary Charles Clarke, Britain's top law enforcement officer. He said there were "terrible injuries."

A senior Israeli official said Scotland Yard told Israel minutes before the explosions that it had received warnings of possible terror attacks.
