Does anybody know how to set email notification of replies without having to post a reply to a message? Sometimes I forget to check that box when i reply to a message and it would be nice if I could do it after the fact.

if you forget and the allowable edit time has expired then you can't set it so far as I know.

the way I watch the forums is..

have you seen this link?
Reset Last Read Pointers

i will go into a forum and read all of the new threads, the ones that have the little red balls beside them, then when i am finished, I hit that link on the main listing page for that specific forum. This leaves no little red balls, therefore when I come back I know what's new.

This might not help fpor notifications but if you watch specific forums, you can see at a glance what is new and scan thread titles for specific threads you are watching.

If you have replied to a thread it will be in
control panel > my threads

you can also see threads you were in at a glance

you could also contact the moderator of that particular forum and have them switch it on for you. ;)
