Limitup,

However, many people would argue that riding in a street car (he wasn't even driving) without proper safety equipment at speeds of 150-165 mph is taking unnecessary risks.

They definitely had both harnesses and headgear on. They crashed into a barrier at 100mph+... not much gear can do at that point. It was also a passenger side impact.

You might not agree with his "techniques" but what other techniques bring in over 40 mil online? Not many. He did what works.

Very sad to see, especially for the new wife.

This is so so sad. Can't believe it. A true pioneer. He did what worked - and that's what counts in business. For me, the same age as him, has set me seriously thinking about doing all those non-business things I've been holding off while I do my 100 hour weeks on the PC.

The very first check I ever made on the internet was from Corey for $75 because I put an affiliate banner of his on my site (the first one I ever tried in 1999). I promptly went out and bought food (cause I had none). And that is the honest truth about how I got into this business. My thoughts, prayers and thanks go with you Corey.

I saw this quote on another website, thought it was quite touching -

"Goodbye Corey, thanks for all the tips and inspiration."

I personally feel gutted. You know he was good at what he did when so many people have something to say.

I never made the connection to him as a web marketer. He was always at the local ferrari meets and I just took him as successful, never even thought he was into this industry too.

R.I.P.

He died doing what he loved. To me, that seems like the saddest part.

Condolences to the family.
He helped me get started in the internet business.
I became an affiliate and got 3 sales the first night and them banned for "Sites Positioned Above Mine"
Not surprising as his email was on my list!
It did show me it was possible to earn on the net though(although that experiment has long since been abandoned)
Love him or hate him he sure showed you what worked and I owe him a debt of gratitude.

That's terribly sad news. One of the biggest names in our industry - and as others have said, far too young.

It's especially tragic, as I believe he was only married a few months ago.

My sincere condolences to his family.

Sorry, but I have to totally disagree. He died doing something he clearly loved. I don't think the slight possibility of death should be a deterrant to doing something you really love, and this guy loved cars. The real tragedy is when people die crossing the street.

Agreed. What better way to actually live life than pursue one's passions and dreams, online as well as offline. People take their lives into their own hands every day going to their 9-to-5 (6-to-midnight, in reality) jobs. I'd rather go out doing something I love, too, though I hope my end isn't at a keyboard but rather doing something active.

Cori,

This morning I was cleaning out some email folders, and I came across several emails from. I'm so glad I held on to them...

I never met you personally, but thank you for making an impact.

Corey Rudl had an excellent internet marketing course. In that course he talked about his achievements and incredible financial success. And after that he mentioned how young he was as well.

He died young. But does anyone here ever think? All of us will meet the same fate one day. There is no guarantee that any one of us will make it the next hour. The Angel of Death does not care who you are. You could be a king or a queen. It doesn't matter one bit.

His death is a lesson for all of us. A reminder that we are all mortals.

Agreed - have looked at his stuff for years - and did learn a few things along the way.

Maybe someone that knew him would want to forward these posts to his family...

I’ve been doing business with Corey’s Internet Marketing Center since 1999. He truly was a netmarketing pioneer. And I still use his software now.

I have the deepest sympathy for his wife as they were married only a year ago I seem to remember.

God bless you Corey. I learned a lot from you.

I can honestly say I have zero experience with his work. But, I certainly know who he was and to see anyone go at 34, when they've achieved so much to be able to live life to their expectations and not their limits, is a certain shame.

It was impossible not to learn things from Corey's internet marketing techniques, as he truly understood the medium and how to use it.

My inbox will seem an emptier place in the future - sincere condolences to his loved ones.

I'm just one of the 70,000 (or so) affiliates the marketing tips site has, that probably felt a lump in their throat when they read about the death of Corey Rudl.

He was one of the rare breed that started with very little & made very much - as in -$40 million Dollars, in 10 years.

I had a folder which I kept most of those e-mails in -
last one (2 june) says about him being up til 4.30am in the morning knocking back coffee - dedcicated to his work til the end.

Very Sad.
