Newbie Alert! (thats me)

Just introducing myself :)

Hiya everyone!
I'm new to this webmaster stuff... I actually bought my own domain and am in the process of building my website (which I bought) on Tuesday the 22nd of March. Im pretty excited, altho this isn't my first time building a website-the last one I built was roughly six years ago... in the good ol days, when you can literally get free domain names and the like... *sigh*.
In any case, I hail from sunny SoCal, in Orange County, CALIF actually (home to the Happiest Place on Earth-no not my bed silly- I mean Disneyland!). So yea... im a newbie basically, so please please dont panic if I ask a really dumb question or something... cuz I know I'll probably have to in a little bit.

Hi Eterion and welcome to WebmasterWorld. Here's a list of codes [webmasterworld.com] which you can use use to make your posts more stylistic and interesting. One of the things that it doesn't say there is that

[blue] Makes your text blue
[red] Makes your text red
[green] Makes your text green

To stop making a text a colour put a forward slash / after the opening bracket [ :

[colour] Different Colour [/colour]

BTW, style codes are great - especially if used sparingly. Most don't make use of the color codes to the extent that cmatcme does. :)

Pacific NW? My sister and brother in law lives up there, Washington state actually... Its pretty up there, lots of trees unlike down here... where we actually SHIP our palm trees from Hawaii. Plus, if you fly outta the OC Airport, youll see some smog and a cloud of pollution too.
