The New Orleans conference thread!

Well I got my hotel reservations. They have a rate of $79 a night plus 13% tax for the 19th through the 24th. I would try to get that as soon as possible. I would be shocked if the place is not completly booked a month before. I plan to be in New orleans Sunday afternoon. I have family around there so I will be getting in that area Saturday and plan to leave the area the next Sunday.

The hotel does have high speed internet for $10 a day. I am looking forward to this they are always a lot of fun.

David, did you call them for that rate? I didn't see any mention in Brett's notes if they were offering us special rates or not. When I checked their website, I'm getting a minimum of $100 per night.

I'll be there. Its in New Orleans and I'm from Baton Rouge so it'd be a shame to miss it. Haven't been to a conference since the London con so I think I'm about due. The Hotel is right there off of Canal which is good since its the easiest place to find. Looking forward to it.

Sessions on Tues, Weds, Thurs. Pubcon Friday. Does this mean no sessions Friday morning and the opportunity to see some sights?

I'm booked! I'll be staying at the hotel Tuesday-Saturday. Even though I live just across the lake from there, I'd rather be right where the action is, so I booked a room. I keep checking the conference page, hoping to see an update, but no luck so far. (It's been a lot longer than the two weeks promised). Looking forward to meeting everyone.

:) Me, too. Believe me, I can't wait for this conference. I love New Orleans, and I'm excited about some of the ideas I've heard for this conference. Once the details are firmed up and announced, we'll have fun talking about them!

I got a room at the Iberville (about 2 blocks away). It was actually pretty inexpensive considering its Part of the Ritz Carlton.

I'm getting antsy again. Keep watching for an update on the conference almost as much as I keep watching for Google Adsense to update saying that they paid via EFT this month. Neither has yet happened, and and the month is quickly dwindling away. Free me from the pain of waiting! :)
