You all know this little yellow sign, flagging threads you have participated in. Since a few weeks (maybe 2-3) I noticed that this sign vanishes after a while. I have not yet found out if this is based on age of the thread (or my participation in it) or post count, but I do have the impression that this is either a new feature or the intervals were much larger before.

Can anybody shed some light on the issue? I don't condem the feature itself - actually I wished I could remove the flag manually on many occasions - but for my taste the timeframe is too short. Maybe it can be made configurable?

It goes by the number of last posts you made. I think it is the last 15 are tracked. It is a massively system intensive feature.

Sounds right, I participated in a lot of threads for the last 4 weeks, but was mostly offline from mid December to mid January.

"massively system intensive feature" means it can't be tweaked easily?
