I've tried everything to fix my webmaster world skin, resting, choosing the default, even trying to customize it to match the default, but no luck.

If someone was to be really nice and reset it to the default, or tell me how to do it, I promise I'll never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, touch it again!

The top choice under 'edit skin' in your control panel is the WW default scheme. Have you tried that yet?

Mine looks fine, but for a change I went in to edit it and none of the changes ever take.

Not that it's a big deal but sometimes a change in color is good on the eyes.
