If anyone has some really great starter reading material please send it my way. I look forward to learning from everyone here and maybe someday looking forward to a UPS delivery (hell I have to aim high right).
Thanks,
Jason
First off, you should be made aware that "Made for Adsense" sites are against Adsense's TOS and they will probably ban you for having one, let alone several!
Having said that, the regulars here will tell you that the way to make money from adsense is to have a website with plenty of quality content that visitors will want to re-visit. That way adsense takes care of itself - you just need to tinker with style and position of banners.
So my advice to you is to find a topic that you are interested in, and make a website on that topic that people will find useful, and promote it. Having done that, then consider how to monetise it.
This may be a stretch to ask but will anyone dare to submit a link to a site that is doing considerably well with adsense.
Hi Jason, and Welcome to WebmasterWorld! [webmasterworld.com]
As you'll see from the TOS here, dropping URL's are not allowed, but if you have a look at some of the example sites on googles own AdSense pages, you'll find a few.
If you stick around here, read older posts and discuss more recent issues with other members, you'll soon realise that a lot of people make a lot of money with AdSense.
The advice in the above posts is good. Build a good website with good content. Making money with AdSense is all about having the traffic in the first place. Once you have the traffic, tailoring the site for the maximum possible revenue from AdSense is relatively easy and largely experimental.

I think we all have different ideas of "considerably well". My idea of "considerably well" is to be able to get a monthly cheque - anything else is a bonus.
Somebody with a much more commercial website and staff to pay would differ from me. I don't see myself ever giving up the day job on what I get from adsense, but consider myself to be doing really well out of a personal interest site to be able to afford to take the family to Crete this summer.
Sorry it's a bit vague, but as you have guessed, posters have rules to follow about disclosing stuff.
