It's a community network called Bryggenet in an area of Copenhagen, Denmark, with about 4000 apartments, so all you have to do is move to the neighbourhood and sign up. Being a community effort, I do share the line with others, but download rates of 3-6Mbytes/s are quite common.

According to InternetWorldStats, the top-5 countries (highest number of users) are these:

1. United States, 24.2 %
   
2. China, 11.5 %
   
3. Japan, 8.3 %
   
4. Germany, 5.7 %
   
5. United Kingdom, 4.3 %
   

From my experience, we seem to miss the Chinese users in WW altogether, and I only ran across very few Japanese as well. I assume language barriers here. However according to my experience US, UK and German users are the majority here.

When it comes to penetration, then the top-5 are these:

1. Sweden, 74.3%
   
2. Hong Kong, 69.9%
   
3. United States, 66.8%
   
4. The Netherlands, 66.2%
   
5. Iceland, 66.2%
   

Except for the US these countries have rather few inhabitants, so high penetration rates are not surprising.
