Let's see some wedding photos. I'll bet Hawkgirl was beautiful to die for and you looked pretty spiffy yourself in that tuxedo.

Or was it bluejeans?

While you're at it how about some honeymoon photos, too?

Hawkgirl,

I have to agree with Mona, your dress is beautiful as are your flowers as well.

And since my husband brought up the fact the other night that the day belongs to both the bride and groom, even though its always said to be the brides day, the groom looks wonderful as well.

Looking forward to viewing more pictures. I'm sure that the reception was great.

vkaryl, am repeating your words over and over..... ;)

(Missed this before...)

> peek at the wedding day

I did, and I noticed there's NO wedding ring!

Uh, am I the only guy - one who will never marry! - checking out wedding photos?

Why am I not surprised that you're first to say that, vkaryl? ;)

I don't know, balam. Why, indeed? And why bold my nick?

> I don't know, balam. Why, indeed?

Because you seem to be in the unhappiest, happy 30-year marriage that I've ever heard of. For example, I'll wager we haven't heard the end of the firearms & racoon story - and I'm still expecting some(one/thing) to be shot.

(This may or may not surprise you... Your marriage, as reflected in your posts, is something that is sometimes discussed around the dinner table here. And last night, your - and others - views on cosmetic surgery was the topic. Did you feel your ears burning?)

> And why bold my nick?

Personal habit... It's the visual equivalent of your name being spoken in a crowded room - your subconscious brain latches onto it amidst the background noise of conversations, or in this case, multiple posts. Plus I think it's more elegant than starting off a post with "@vkaryl". Nothing more, or less, is meant by it.

Interesting. Odd, but interesting....

As to the raccoon, he's happily eating his head off down in the horse-meadow, and as I said earlier, we'll haul him off somewhere else in the spring. No one gets shot.... until deer and elk season later this year, and then what gets shot (hopefully) winds up first in the freezer and then on the table....

As to discussing my marriage etc. around the dinner table, you MUST be bored. But enjoy....

Spitting image of my girlfriend's assessment of me. (Although, at our age, I think we're expected to be "partners" or - ugh - "significant others.")

> As to discussing [...] you MUST be bored.

Naw, see girlfriend's opinion.

So many folk expose their personal lives here (to such an extent) that it's only human nature to gossip about it on- & offline.

This looks an awful lot like a Foo thread.

noticed there's NO wedding ring!

And this is a problem?

I didn't wear a wedding band in my first marriage and haven't worn one in my second. This is not a problem - except with my wife who regularly brings up the fact.

Thanks for the nice works about the photo. Didn't even need to photoshop it! ;)

> there's NO wedding ring

Because they were taken an hour before the ceremony. Call us old fashioned, but we didn't put the rings on until we were actually married!
