One for the site Admins ...

I'm sure that this has been answered before (sorry in advance, guys). But the search function returns so many threads on email notification that I just can't find what I'm after.

Most of the forums I visit do email notification this way ...

  • You can turn email notifications on/off globally in your control panel. You can also override this on a per-thread basis.

  • When somebody replies to a thread that you have participated in, you get a single notification. You don't get anything else about that thread until you have visited the site again.
It works pretty well. Has this ever been tried at WebmasterWorld? Any chance that it might be implemented in the future?

1 is doable and a good suggestion.
What is #2? I don't get how that is different from what we do now.

Sorry Brett ... probably me not using email notification on WebmasterWorld ... I keep forgetting to check this for threads I participate in :)

#1 would be a great addition though ...
