Tangent from a thread in the supporters section. Given the concerns over commercial url drops vs. those of us who want access to this info (and I'm sure the commercial interests who want access to the community) I suggest the following:

- a commercial interests forum with a 'lite' version of paid advertising. Charge them a couple of hundred bucks or something small, drop in one post with a url and a brief description of the product. Caveat the heck out of the section :).

That way we keep the site clear of url's and commercial drops, you make a bit of money, it's cheap enough that any commercial interest can get onboard, and those of us who want to know what's going on can check the products out for ourselves.

Just my two cents - a list of commercially available tools would be of value to me and I suspect others here.

'lite' version of paid advertising

Woah... You lost me before I even got to the line above. I second the objection. This isn't a place to advertise to members. We don't want posts about products clogging things. If there IS a relevant discussion where the information about a product is valuable, the mods don't usually have a problem with limited recommendations.

I don't think that a whole section devoted to product discussion is warranted.
