It seems to me that a big part of being a web admin for some people (including myself) is email administraton. I have plenty of questions about Exchange server deployment and Unix email admin. I either have to research on my own, or post in webmaster general. An Email Administraton forum would also allow for discussion of anit-spam topics AND for Spammers to talk about what works for them. (hehe so us admins can read it!)

Anyone else think this might be valueable? Pros... Cons?

On the other hand, how could we do a "admin" forum on Email. Just the word "email" in the forum title would bring so many problems. There would be troubled post after troubled post covering topics such by, about and for the following:

- pure email spammers.
- email software.
- email newsletters
- "check my code"

It would be very moderation intensive.

Or am I missing the point of an Email admin forum?

As I see it, there would be a strong case to be made "FOR" a forum. We often run into problems ourselves covering a wide range of topics:

- reaching out through the spam filters.
- even after reaching - what to do to get them to open it.
- what's the deal with newsletter software? Why does it all suck so bad? ;)

And a multitude of other issues.
