How do you turn them off for a subject once you turn them on? I sent a question to the site about this but no answer. I"m getting bombarded and now have no interest in the string I was monitoring.

Can you help a noobie out and tell me how to shut it off without changing my email address (which is my next step)

Hey Voxman,

For an entire Forum go to Control Panel > Forum Watch List and select/deselect there.

For individual threads you will need to contact an administrator.

*sigh... It's an individual thread. You think they would allow you to change that.

sent an email to the site but no answer yet. Soon I will just turn off the email if it keeps up. Hope you can change the email in the settings..haven't looked yet.... but I can't take this much longer....worse than spam

I'm pretty sure it took all of us "one of those threads" to learn not to subscribe to threads (except in rare situations). Eventually, the discussion will stop. :)

You may prefer to use the built-in "My threads" page, for keeping track of your conversations:

Here's another option that worked for me when I made same mistake. Create a rule in your e-mail client to delete any incoming mail with the thread's subject in the body of the mail.

One feature I would love to see:

When subscribed to a thread, you get a message informing you there has been a reply to the thread. However, until you visit the thread again, you don't get any more messages.

This subject comes up every once in a while - Brett is aware that people would like to be able to individually unsubscribe to a thread and it's on the 'bug list.'

In the meantime, send another email to an admin and they can take care of it for you.
