This may not affect most people but cabs in Vegas do not take credit cards. I am used to them taking them in Houston so I was quite alarmed. Also sometimes it is very hard to get a cab there may be an hour or more wait during show time at night or just randomaly during the day. Also watch them they will take real funky routes. Sometimes they have to because the strip is so bad. When it is busy it is a parking lot. Cabs will not let you out at all unless you are at the Hotel. So if there is a huge cab line to let you out and you are close enough to see your hotel they will not let you out.
