Forum Moderators: open
Someone needs to put more effort into keeping it updated and comprehensive. Is there a "moderator" who has volunteered to be responsible for expanding and improving the glossary? If not, perhaps this would be a good project for someone who wants to contribute more to the community.
One idea: perhaps a box could be added to the bottom of the glossary page (one that looks a little like a search box) that allows users to "suggest a term." These suggestions could be forwarded to an administrator or moderator, who could direct them to an appropriate knowledgeable member with a request that they create the needed definition.
In the meantime, perhaps there are some users out there (like me) who are still learning, and they've noticed the glossary isn't meeting all of their needs, or they have noticed some gaps in the current list. If so, perhaps they would enjoy taking this opportunity to post a message with suggestions for some terms that could be added to the glossary.
Here are some examples of terms that aren't in the glossary:
AdSense
Anchor Text
DMOZ
IMHO
IMO
JSP
JSTL
Link Exchange
LOL
PageRank
PHP
PR
Sessions
Subdomain
Text Link
Tomcat
TLD
WWW
I know, some of these might seem so obvious they don't need to be defined, but you'd be surprised how newbies can stumble over things that seem laughably obvious a month later!
