The new message indicator seems to be a little out of whack lately. On the category page, it shows the forum has a new post. When I click through, there isn't anything new. This mostly just happens with the Commerical Exchange forum for me, but now it's happening with the Microsoft ASP forum as well. It says (on the category page) that the last post was Sept 28 922am (-5). If you click through, the last post in the forum is Sept 27 858pm (-5).

I understand why it could happen with the Commercial Exchange forum, due to the premod setting, but in the ASP forum? Just a heads up.

Could be if a thread (or even a single post within a thread) was deleted or moved...

I assumed a post was deleted. I would think the times would re-match up though. Not a big deal, just wondering.

With a premoderated forum, it could mean there's been a new post but it hasn't yet been released.

>deleted or moved...

Sounds likely, but I've never yet used the new post indicator.

Or a post has been placed on hold for the mod to review?

I always see old or new messages with a red dot and the word "New". Do others see a different behaviour?
