IS there a way to order the search results by date? Sometimes I fear that the older posts I'm reading have been superceded by new info and biz changes, etc.

No, but you can add a Google search form [webmasterworld.com] to WebmasterWorld. (see msg #:9) You can't search by thread date with that either to my knowledge, but it will help find a bit more than the site search.
