Reply Post Notification options for longer threads...

How about a 'jump to last page' option?

For those of us using slow to very slow connections that would like to keep up with posts that we have participated in, it would help greatly if there was a 'Jump to last page' option in the email notification. Right now I have to click on the discussion URL and then click on the last page on the longer threads. That is two pages to load when all I needed was the second one.

Now I admit that within a week I am not going to care much about this issue anymore - my ship will be back and I will have my cable modem again... but surely I am not the only one with a slow connection?

Just my thoughts...

I think you're asking for a "Show only new posts" option for the control panel. Yes, even for people with a fast connection, it would be handy in those long Forum 3 threads.

I don't think it's a programming challenge as much as it might be a resources issue. I'd be interested to hear Brett's comments.

I don't have as much a problem on surfing them from the indexes because I can jump to the last page of the thread from the index... but I can't from the email notifications. They only list the thread main page so I have to wait for that page to load and then jump to the last page of the thread.
