For some reason, my posts in the Yahoo & Google forums never go live, they are always on hold. I sticky mods, but they never get back to me. Is this something new?

From the Google News charter:

Type: Premoderated. This means that every thread must be approved by a moderator before it is visible to everyone. Due to the number of posts in the Google Forum requiring pre-moderation, we are often unable to send notifications if a thread is not released for public viewing. Please see the guidelines below for some of the reasons why posts may not be authorized.

But I'm not sure about the Yahoo threads.

Yahoo is also pre-moderated:

The pre-mod policy is meant to make the highest-trafficked forums on WebmasterWorld easier to read, more informative and better for all of the users out there.

In Google especially, you have a lot of discussions being started at the same time - which means a lot of them end up being redundant. Rather than having to go back after the fact and combine them (which takes a lot of time and ends up making threads choppy), making everything pre-moderated just allows us to make sure the topic gets started once.
