how long until you get an email or they are posted?

Made a Foo post yesterday, didn't think it was really that controversial, even though it did have a mention of politics (because of a marketing tactic being employed).
Are stickes still sent if a post isn't going to be shown at all? Seems a full day is long enough to determine that a post won't be shown for some reason.
