Couple of odd bugs

My "edit message" icon keeps on disappearing, even though I am logged on.

Also, home pages headlines seem to show up in 'bunches' and not as they are posted. Tried ctrl-refreshing, but that doesn't seem to do the trick.

you can only edited mesages for a certain amount of time after posting, then the option disappears.

the homepage items are selected manually by the admin - hence them all appearing at certain times.
