Couple of minutes ago I tried to click on a homepage link and had to log in first before I could read the thread in Google News forum (not Supporters).

I can't click on email notifications when I'm not logged in.

I have been unable to click on webmasterworld results found in Google lately, even when I'm logged in.

Isn't that a bit overdone? Why not allow hotlinks from self-send emails? What's the use of having the forum indexed anyway if one can't click on the results?

Hi, double check your browser cache setting. There is nothing on this side that should prevent you from viewing anything from a Google search result.

I understand what you are saying about part of it though. On the other side, if we didn't do something, there would be 10 times as many bots as humans on the site - eg: the site would crash.

Nothing has changed as far as ip's or isp restrictions in the last two years.

Thanks for your reply Brett.

Google results are accessible again, don't know what happened.
