Talking about AdSense competitors is interesting

Whey the censorship?

Brett can you explain why you are so enthusiastic about deleting messages about AdSense competitors?

Any customer is very excited about the opportunitiy to discuss competition among their vendors. It is like christmas in january when a new vendor comes in and provides a better service / price point.

Why are you squelching these conversations?

I can understand deleting them if no one was replying, but everyone seems very interested in talking about it. Even if people are 'spamming', it is still a valid and interesting topic.

First, per-the-tos, we do not discuss moderation policy on WebmasterWorld, but since this thread sat for a few hours on a holiday weekend -- gee, isn't that strange - I shall answer it here -- even after we let many members know in private.

You want to participate in a whisper campaign - please do so on someone elses site. The Google AdSense forum, is for the discussion of -- you guessed it -- Google AdSense. Approximatly two dozen threads about a particular competitor were deleted.

Since it was so blantant in the wrong forum, it was obvious there was a spam campagin in full swing in the adsense forum. So, we put that campaign on the swear word filter and nuked the back spam.

If I see it again, please let us know, and we will beging banning members and IP's.
