There are a lot of threads for poll: what do you use. A lot of these get some responses, while others get very little.

I think a forum where you could post a poll of questions & buttons, where a member can click a button to vote, and then reply only if they wanted to would gather a lot of useful stats for WW. The number of votes would be autocalculated so no one has to add up all the info.

Do you surf the web with:
Most scripts enabled
Most scripts disabled
Only ActiveX off
Only Java off
Only Applets off

or something similiar. Users would get answers. Clicking on just a poll number would not count as a post. And WW would have a collection of interesting stats.

Not sure if this is more management features than WW wants, just tossing out an idea.

Good idea, it would reduce the noise level in some threads. I don't know how much work it is to develop, though.

There is a poll setup in the software but disabled.

Polls turn into marketing opportunities and people casing one another for opportunities to market to them. It is why we discourage the "how old are you", "what kind of car do you drive", and the "how many sites do you own" questions (all of which have happened in the forums).
