Forum software basis: How to quote, edit

Hello. I am new here, and must be having a brain-dead day, but I can't see how to quote posts, nor how to edit my own.

What am I missing?

Copy portion of post you want to quote. Paste it into your reply.

Edit your own post by clicking "owner edit" under you nick.
