Hello everyone,

I've been encountering a problem with Sim Spider, and am wondering if someone has the same problems, and if so, how to fix them:

When trying to access Sim, I'm asked to login, "due to abuse from my ISP". I login successfully. The browser page automatically refreshes to WebmasterWorld. When I try to then access Sim, it again asks me to login. I have enabled my system to accept cookies, and have encountered the same problem with both IE and Mozilla.

The odd thing is that I can access all the other Search Engine World tools, but not Sim.

Could anyone help?

Thanks so much... and happy upcoming 2004!

Cheers,

Lydia

I can't remember the reason but go to this URL [searchengineworld.com] and choose it.

It was hot linked all over the place so we now require a insite referral string.

Hello Brett and Anallawalla,

Thanks for your feedback, and happy 2004!

I've tried using the link that Anallawalla sent me, but still no luck. The same problem happened: I was asked to login, which I did. Then I ended up on WW, but I couldn't find a link from WW to the spider. Everytime I try to access Sim through Search Engine World, I am repeatedly asked to login.

My firewall is setup to access cookies. Could there be something else on my end that might be causing this?

Thanks,

Lydia

That link works fine for me, so I don't know why it doesn't work for you. Try logging out and log back in. I can't find a WW link for you.

hi,

I'm having the same problems - "login in due to abuse from your ip", and after I log in I'm redirected to the forums, and can't get in to the sim spider tool (I'm required to log in again and redirected again)

Hi - I've been having this exact problem for months too... In light of Brett's initial response in this thread, perhaps if there was a link back to "sim spider" after we successfully log in, this problem would be resolved. It was a great tool while it lasted.... :(

Oh well, just tried again with Brett's link, and it still didn't work. Here'a little song to Sim:

"I thought that I
over with you
but it's true... oh, so true...
I love you even more
than I did before..."

I'm having the same problems as others accessing the WW spider sim and being prompted to log in due to ISP abuse. But when I do still get the same message.

Have tried the link Brett gave and this doesn't work, even when I try going through an anon proxy.

Any ideas?

works for me :)

In my wild guess (an extremely WILD guess) it maybe that only Preffered Members + status get to use the sim spider? or is there any one with a Preffered Member or higher status still getting the ISP forbidden page?

Same here... never worked for me either. I figured it was my own computer settings messing it up. Just tried again and no go...

I'm not sure if this info helps, but I've just switched ISPs, and I continue to get the error message that my username and password are required because of abuse. I login, try to access Sim, and still no luck. Brett, any clues on what's up?

Thanks kindly,

Lydia
