today, i responded to a thread that spanned two pages. i like offering my 2 cents when it may be of value and i enjoy gaining and sharing info here.

often, to not interrupt my back/forward routine, i will open the 'reply to this topic' link in a new window. i use myIE2 and have the smart drag option turned on. it allows me to left-click and drag a link to be opened in a new window.

did that. wrote reply. previewed. submitted. closed second window. refreshed main window. saw post. clicked back.

a minute later, internet explorer opens with the page to 'post reply'. 2 seconds later.. another window. every two FRIGGIN seconds later, another window. this went on for a good ten minutes. you can imagine how my task bar looked. and because the gazillion windows would open so fast, i barely could close my resource-hungry programs, let alone keeping up with clicking the 'x' button. (btw, i make it a habit of closing program windows correctly so was chagrined at having to use the 'x').

finally, after hard-forcing programs closed and managing to sneak the keyboard button for the start menu, i was able to reboot. fortunately, my post didn't show a gazillion times.

and so... i apologize for the usage spikes you may see in your logs today and hope my chaos didn't cause any problems here.
