Hi,
I just joined the group and having a hard time keeping track of the posts in the Florida Update thread. I will be at page 66 then on my next visit it only has 26 pages. Also, the dates of the posts will be off by a few days. Then I click back 2 pages and the dates are back to normal? Plus, I noticed that some of my posts and/or the posts I replied to have been removed which throws the comments out of context. The posts that seem missing are not fluff while some that do remain could easily be trimmed out. Confusing.

There are 4 public sections to the update. We try to split them around 600 posts. That helps keep the bandwidth and system resources reasonable. Remember, those threads have already seen several million page views - like all good webmasters, we try to keep the machine well oiled.

Welcome to WW Pele

Don't forget the: Reset last read pointers

Located in the top right corner, if I follow a particular thread that I know is going to be a hot topic I use it so i know the last message i read, instead of wading through the masses of posts.

If in doubt don't post, most of the time the answer has be posted several times.

The recent posts option on the top of your screen is also great but when visiting a thread hit the back button other wise clicking the recent post link will just reset it again.

:)

Thanks! It's HUGE... I can understand why it needs dividing up. The date thing was weird though. Posts that I know were made a certain time were being tagged a different day but only temporarily so maybe when you were working on it the date was in flux? Hope it settles soon!
