That was weird.

Was logged into forum78 in Opera 7.2. Hit refresh, was bumped out & could not log back in. Fired up & tried IE6. Wouldn't let me in. NN6.2. Got in fine & now the other browsers login fine.

A temporary glitch or something?

Somebody working I reckon; I was bumped to the login page clicking on an Active Posts link.

Once in a big while WebmasterWorld seems to ignore my cookies (as it did five minutes ago). No big deal, all I have to do is login.

still is wierd though, it recognised my cookie because I am in and posting stickying but when I try to access this post

[webmasterworld.com...]

about which webmasterworld informed me by email, the log in comes up under the header that shows I am already logged in.

And entering my username and password does not get me access to that post?

Does that post now have further restricted access or something?

Mark_A, sounds like you are clicking out of email? That would then make WebmasterWorld into a 3rd party cookie. Your browser isn't sending the cookie in that case.

Happened to me too. At the top of the screen asking me to log in it said "Welcome ShawnR: You have mail: [ inbox:38 - unread:0 ]"

This happened on clicking the submit button to a post. Go figure.

Brett its a wierd one from my side because that post linked above is *NOW*[1] not what I thought it was from the email ...

the email included

[webmasterworld.com...]
Subject : Has anybody seen this TopSXXXXXX silliness?
Forum : Foo, Local

but clicking the link above now leads to a different post.

[1] now I can see it again that is.
Perhaps that original thread was deleted because of name and this new one took its page number or something.

Anyhow working now so no worries here Brett.
Hope you had a good UK Pubcon and sorry I could not make it this year.

edited to change name :-)
