Forum Moderators: open
I suggest to Brett, that the 'check talk' is un-productive and useless and unbecoming of a professional forum.
Now as I protect my face from the stick beatings I'm about to receive, I'm just voicing my humble opinion.

Seems like a bit much to me, especially considering the number of other threads of much broader interest which routinely get removed from the active list.
Maybe those who are so excited about their newfound prosperity (or lack thereof :)) could make an effort to keep the discussion in a single thread?
but if you remember, a lot people loved that time of the month and sharing their experience with others. i don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. just ignore it if you don't want to read it.
i do think if it ever gets to be 100 pages long it would need some attention, but it's small potatoes right now with a few excited webmasters.
it is very reminiscent of the monthly update
Yes, it is - hence FunnyGirl's post.
I don't begrudge anyone a conversation about this - it is new and different. But why not limit the posts to a single thread and/or keep them off the recent post list? That way those who want to post about this can, those who want to read about it can go to the Adsense forum, and the rest of the membership doesn't see an endless stream of "where is my check" posts coming across the active list.
Just the thoughts of one who is NOT getting a check ;)
I agree, some of the threads could be renamed to better reflect what they are about (the thread on check security is simply titled "Googles AdSense Checks"), since it does give the appearance that everyone has gone check-crazy in AdSense right now ;) But there aren't really too many multiple threads on the same thing, just titles that don't really reflect what the actual thread is about.
The "where's my cheque" posts are a bit like this.
Google has (probably) responded by not sending out the cheques till the end of the month, so if the recipients cannot expect their cheque till around 1st of the month, then hopefully it will stop the moaners from posting.
Either we put up with these moaners, or aggressive moderating would have to be used to take them out.....
.... Hardly seems to be worth the trouble of moderating them!
