My sticky is sticking?

Sending my sticky produces a 404

I wanted to send a sticky to a poster. I clicked on the name in his profile and was transferred to a text box to write the sticky. When I submitted this, I was directed to a 404 that told me that the target file couldn't be located.

Where am I going wrong?

There was a cryptic message next to the "To:" box that read: "Member names that have underline connectors, need them here too".

Do I need to add these underline connectors? If so, what are they?

Help appreciated.

Hmmm.... I just was sending a sticky and I also got the 404 error. After the third try, I checked the outbox and saw three copies of the identical sticky message I was sending (sorry, Shak!)

So, it seems the error is popping up, but the sticky is actually being sent.

Same thing here, but if you send yourself one you'll see that it gets to you - you just get the 404 after.

I sent myself a sticky and you are right: the message gets through even though it shows a 404.

Thanks for confirmation of problem.

Also, so you know we're onto it, you may find autonotification not working.

Ohps, i just sent Brett a sticky to notify him - didn't see this thread. Funny, sending a sticky to Brett didn't return a error, though. Maybe it's allready fixed. ;)

i received one sticky 5 times but i don't tell who sent it. ;)

he he he, I got one sticky five times, as well. ;) But, that's OK - I just sent them one in reply, trusting that the system is working despite the error message (seems to be, at any rate).

Not sending emails out either?

Bobby_Davro, at least I would never have known you had responded if I had not read your post here :)

I got that too, and fortunately I only sent it twice before I came and checked here. Well, it was in response to one I'd received three times, so I don't feel so bad. :D

I just sent a stcky and got no 404, worked as normal, so hopefully its fixed now.

Is there a chance that some stickies got lost in the ether yesterday?

<edit>
Never mind, getting the 404 again now

Yeah, I'm still getting the 404 too.

Sorry Marcia for the multiples! :)
