Another Forum Enhancement Suggestion

Understandably, your first view of "recent posts" in a session sets your "lastviewed" cookie value to the current time.

However, therefore, if you click on ">>" to view the next page of "recent posts", the new post indicator is lost, since there are technically no new posts since your view of the previous page - even though you haven't seen them before.

Did that make sense?

No, it doesn't make sense. When I look at a forum, the red balls remain until I explicitly reset last read pointers, then they disappear for the entire forum. Moving from page to page has no effect.

Does something diffrent happen for other people?

TheDoctor - the reference is to the "recent posts" list, which behaves differently than the regular forum views. Its a great way to keep up on new posts - very addictive - but it does display the behavior described by dmorrison :)
