CSS Moderator

Need someone to take Nick's place.

I don't know how many of you who post here read the CSS forum, but when Nick resigned, the CSS forum lost a great moderator. Sure we can tell people who post url's to edit their post and remove them on our own, but I believe a new, friendly moderator is needed.

In my opinion, DrDoc is doing a great job and should be considered for the moderator position. Not only does he post frequently, but his posts are excellent, just as Nick's were and still are.

Any opinions on this?

It's Brett call actually. Yes I like DrDoc's posts. (I am not a frequent visitor to CSS though).

A lot of what's in the CSS forum is still over my head at this point in time, but it's been tremendously helpful for what I needed. I've started using stylesheets for about 99% of font formatting to get rid of font tags altogether. I like to get into things a step at a time, and that's one thing that's done a tremendous amount to cut back on file sizes (one page got cut by 1/3 just by stripping font tags) as well as making for easy site maintenance - and adding new pages is a breeze.

There's a wealth of information in that forum. I'm about ready to dig in for phase two of my journey into the world of CSS, which is using divs and spans - also to cut back on work and amount of coding needed.

DrDoc is great! There are several people who are regulars in that forum as well as the HTML forum, and I know it makes my life so much easier that there are people so willing to share and help with any questions that come up. I always appreciate the people who so freely and kindly share their expertise with us; it makes me a bit braver when getting into something new.

I love the CSS forum. I feel like they're all these friendly old CSS veterans (probably not much older than me, but they *seem* older because of wisdom :D) who are so sweet and eager to preach their CSS gospel-- but they're not on a pulpit railing against tables and other false idols. So it's a great community, a great atmosphere, and a great resource. I'm going to do my brand-new website entirely in XHTML and CSS for the front end. The water's a little scary but as I get deeper into it it's not so uncomfortable after all. ^.^
