Next to the member name is mentioned the type of member the user is, such as Preferred Member, Junior Member, Senior Member, etc.

How many different type of members are there and is there any sort of exact definition of such members. I suppose the sequence is like this: Newbie, Junior member, preferred member, senior member, moderator, and lastly admin.

Am I correct? Can somebody please shed some light on this.

Imaster,

You are correct in your assumptions.
Senior is the highest level you can go unless you are Moderator or Administrator.

It all depends on how many posts you have made - remembering Local posts don't count. There have been many posts about how many posts needed for each level, but only recently Brett raised the bars.

The member level doesn't have anything to do with whether you are a paid subscriber or not. This is shown by the seperater between "joined" and the date the member joined

A ":" means not a subscriber
A "-" means a subscriber.

Hi wruk999,

Thanks for the insight. I noticed one more type of member: Full Member. It would be great if you could provide me with a list of all the possible types of members and the criteria set to pass each level of membership.

Lastly, what are local posts? Are they sticky mails?

Thanks for your help.

There is quite a lengthy discussion already taking place about this :)

Imaster, you will find the types and criteria in the link posted by wruk99. As for local posts, these are posts in the Foo forum as well as in the one we are currently in.

Oh, and there is one more member type, called RCJordan. But you can forget about that one, it is nearly unreachable ;).

I don't know if you have any experience with it but I think he has replied to each and every sticky I have sent. He takes his time but always replies :)

mil2k, we were not saying the person was unreachable, just the status (i.e. the post count of these people). :)
