i use a couple of filters to block ads, unwanted scripts and cookies and such in my browser... i've noticed that unless i use the "reset pointers" button, my pointers don't seem to get updated... i've specifically set *.webmasterworld.* and showcase.netins.net to not be filtered... however, this has only worked once ;-(

is it a cacheing problem?

is it a cookie problem? i only have the user and password cookies on my system <scratching head>

its very annoying, to say the least ;-( ;-(

thanks for any and all insight and assistance...

Pointers do not reset automatically, you have to click on the "Reset Last Read Pointers" to reset them. Whether this is a feature or a bug is in the eye of the beholder :)

thanks, mohamed_e... it would seem that the pointers would be stored automatically after a logout... i've been fighting with this for weeks and finally just broke down and asked here... the info is appreciated...
