How to view US-targeted Adwords

This isn't an Adwords-specific question.

Is there some reliable way for me to see a Google SERP with ads aimed only at the US? I tried the anonymizer in .ws but it seems to be hosted in Mexico and I don't get US adwords.

Are there any open US proxy servers and would that approach work?

I might get the client to buy me a sub to Anonymizer. They say that a Google search is free but every time I tried it tries to upsell.
